What happens during my Brow Treatment?

During an initial consultation, we will agree on the shape and colour of your brow. I use high quality pigments and can blend almost any shade to compliment your skin type. The whole process takes approximately 2 hours and is painless thanks to a topical numbing agent being  used throughout the treatment.

How long will my Brows last for?

This varies from client to client, for example if you have dark hair it may last longer than for a fair haired client. Some pigment will remain in the skin permanently but will gradually fade over time . The colour will start to fade as the skin exfoliates and we recommend a colour boost between 6 and 12 months after your treatment to maintain freshness. Medical conditions and medicines can also cause pigment to fade faster.

Will I get my result straight away?

The pigment will be approximately 40% darker and a lot stronger for up to a week after treatment. Some clients experience some swelling and redness which normally subsides within 48 hours. Your brows may become dry & Flakey in 3 – 7 days after the treatment and healing balm will need to be applied.

After 1 week your colour will seem to have disappeared, however the pigment will start to develop over the next  2 to 6 weeks. After your first treatment you may find your colour has not healed evenly due to flaking skin. This is dependent on your skin and personal healing process. This is normally balanced in your second ‘top up’ procedure.

Does SPMU work on everybody’s skin?

Semi-permanent make up results can be unsuccessful on some skin types. This includes clients with large open pores and very oily skin. In some cases, an additional 3rd top up treatment maybe required at a small cost. With that in mind, it is strongly inadvisable to tattoo an area more than 3 times within the period of a year.

I can never guarantee results but I will always use my best judgement to obtain the best result possible.

Who would benefit Permanent Makeup?

  • Those with gaps and sparse brow hair
  • Those with lack of shape and definition in their brows
  • People experiencing a lack of pigment in the hair who also need more volume
  • Ladies who have little time for the daily ritual of applying make up
  • Women with vision problems or contact lens wearer.
  • Women or men with hair loss due to alopecia or chemotherapy, or who have sparse hair growth.
  • Models and women in the public eye who need to look their best at all times
