ACUPRESSURE PILLOW & MAT Now available
(Acupressure is an alternative medicine technique similar in principle to acupuncture.
It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body.)
What Is The Acupressure Mat?
It’s been called the modern version of the Indian ‘bed of nails’, designed to stimulate blood circulation while providing acupressure, to help balance the body, mind and spirit.
It can help with:
☑️ Pain in the back, neck and shoulders ☑️ Muscle tension ☑️ Stress ☑️ Insomnia and difficulty falling asleep ☑️ Tension headaches ☑️ Increased energy ☑️ Quicker recovery after exercise
…and a lot more!
How Does it work?
The Acupressure Mat stimulates the release of endorphins and a range of other calming hormones via acupressure points on the body.
It also increases the lymph and blood circulation which has detoxifying, stimulating and healing effects. The release of endorphins triggers a self-healing mechanism in the body and also blocks pain. The result is a sense of deep relaxation and well-being, even increased levels of happiness.
How To Use Your Acupressure Mat?
🔹 Place your mat on a firm surface. 🔹 A neck pillow or a rolled-up towel should be placed underneath your Mat to support your neck. You can also use a rolled-up towel under your knees to help keep your back flat. 🔹 Lie in a comfortable position so that your skin rests in contact with the points. 🔹 Relax and breathe deeply. 🔹 For maximum benefit you should have bare skin against your mat. If your skin is very sensitive, you may want to start off wearing a thin tee shirt or place a thin cloth over your mat. Trust me, over time you will be able to use it against your bare skin.
Initially, 10-15 minutes on the mat may be enough, but you can gradually increase your sessions to 20 minutes or more.
It doesn’t matter if you spend more time on the mat or even fall asleep on it.
